Am going to be almost off line for 2 weeks as from early next week so hope all goes well for everyone.

Evening all, well today was warmer than yesterday, inside at least. To explain, I somehow managed to let us run out of heating oil late on Tuesday evening. Our local oil supplier was brilliant and we got a delivery yesterday shortly after lunchtime and our plumber/heating engineer was alo brilliant and got the boiler back in operation as well. We won't ever be running out of oil again.

Morning, it’s a damp start to the day, only to get worse I think! As I’m feeling not too bad we are venturing down to gods own country (South Ayrshire) for the weekend, looking forward to it.

Sorry to read your news, LD. That's what my dad had. It's not a diagnosis anyone wants, but it did lead to some changes for my parents as the diagnosis gave him access to a whole heap of services. I think he was even exempt from council tax because of it. He was also given pills to slow down its progress. Don't be shy in asking your the memory clinic, your GP or social services about help. It's terrible for the sufferer and the carer and you will both be glad of any support available.

Edited because any reply like this just comes across as inadequate. This one probably does too. I'll be thinking of you, LD.

Lottie Dolly, I can only say how sorry I am that you are both faced with such sad news.
We as a family went through all this with my mother so I have some idea of your plight.
Look after yourself firstly otherwise you will not be able to cope.

Good after noon all,thank you for the support,Snoop,it was said that if it is confirmed,the tablets will be no good,it will be just time and patents,there are several types of dementure,depepending whats caused it,then there is alzimers,i always thought them the same,but apparently not so,to day i am not at all well,i feel like am drunk,light headed and vacant,my fairy has been,said i did look really tired and drained,she took me shopping,and cared for me,gave me a big hug on leaving,peeps are saying i only have to ask,how nice is that,i think my system has gone into a bit of a shock,not just aboutMR but i have had rather a lot to cope with son,on and off,am sitting here and my head keeps going round,BUT,I WILL BOUNCE BACK,the lady in the chemist mouthed to my fairy if i was ok,this is only a blip,it's like being hit round the head with a wet kipper hehehe,i WILL be fine.xx

Evening all, well I got my usual pile of cards through the letter box today . Yes, well it's my buffday innit . We had intended going out for lunch but it has been really chilly here today so we had a ham cheese and tomato sandwich for lunch and then braved the elements in the afternoon and had a flying visit to M&S and bought their meal deal for tonight. Twenty quid good value.

LD, yups you take things easy. With so many things happening round about you, it's easy to get "knocked off your stot" as we say up here. So take time to yourself with plenty to eat and much comfortable sitting down and tea drinking.

VC, wish your mum happy birthday from me as well please
