This little girl could not have been a better fit for our family..

Oh my life, what cute little face. Absolutely lovely. Hold her close and love her every minute! Including the ones where she chews your shoes, runs off with your sock or eats your best plant.
Morning all. First job is to take the gaffer tape off the front of the letter box.The wind rattles the letter box which sets the dog off barking. To get a decent nights sleep I tape it up in the evening.
Have you tried a bit of foam lagging/draft proofing stick-on strip to cushion the flap?
Morning, blimey it's rough out there, strong west wind, so the jobs in the garden will have to wait, winds wrong for fishing too and as SWMBO is poorly, will probably be in most of the day playing nurse......
Burnie, my gears in the car.. straight to the lake, set up in the dark, pack up tomorrow in the dark.. straight back to work tomorrow morning! :|
I wrote this out about 8 this morning and for some reason it wasn't posted so rather than waste it I will post it now also its been constant rain since then
Good morning it was heavy rain when coming up for the boys, it's dry just now but very overcast so no doubt its going to be a wet day, again no matter enjoy your day and for those who can enjoy your garden, for the rest of us have some patience we will get there, sometime
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers

Good thinking VC, I may give that a try.
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
It appears to be the strongest wind we have had up until now this year.
Waiting for a load of logs to be delivered to the front of house. Wheelbarrow ed 30 wheelbarrow loads last time to the top of the garden at the rear of the house.. I can put up with the wind but if it starts raining or snowing there will be no joy in working in a blizzard.
We shall see.
Take care folks.

Snadger try sticky back velcro on the outside letter box flap that should hold it firm and postie would easy lift that open.
Evening all, it’s wet and windy here in Kildare all day, lovely little pup Captain. Stay safe everybody and hug the one you like ve. Virtual hugs to any grapes needing one.
29 barrow loads of logs shifted and stacked under cover. With what I already had and today's load I should have enough logs to last me for a couple of months now.
These are logs from trees that were felled a couple of years ago so are well seasoned and will burn fine as long as I keep them dry.
Apparently the Government are to stop the sale of coal and unseasoned wood to cut down on emissions from coal fires and multifuel stoves plus woodburners. Fair enough, I can't argue with that, but would be lost without my woodburner.
Snow forecast for this area tonight so sorted my fuel out just in time,

well, I didn't get a belt for my rotavator yesterday but only because the chap I went to was out delivering a lawnmower. However I went back to see him this morning and he was able to supply what I need, Yay . Got that to the plot and fitted so I'm a happy bunny. I managed to get the strawberry bed sorted out and also hauled last years celery out of the ground so all in all, I'm well on to where I expect to be at this time of year.
Saw a snow warning on one of these huge digital signs on the way home but we don't seem to have snow forecast. Bit of a puzzler
The news just showed a lot of snow coming our way over tomorrow and a sharp frost on Sunday AP, I knew winter was still on it's way, they said Mondays snow could cause traffic problems in the morning rush hour(wasn't too specific about exactly where mind).
Up early today as Mr Snoop can't sleep. Doesn't normally bother me, but he's proper fidgety, so all the cats want to be on my side of the bed and there isn't enough room. I'll go back and light the fire in the bedroom in a bit. That'll get them shifted into their chairs right in front of it.
But aren't I glad I got up and checked in. Lovely little girl, cptncrackoff. Congratulations on your new family member.
Right, time for hot drinks and warm fires. Catch you later guys, meanwhile have a good one.
Morning there's no change in our forecast just the same wind and rain, with occasional sunshine to look forward to. A bit of a look around them I'm of out.
