it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

    • Morning its dry here some rain later on, hopefully I've not jinxed the weather like Rary did

      • It's dawned calm, dry and clear sky - I wonder if it will last, as I haven't looked at the forecast yet...

If it stays dry I'll go and cut the last couple of swede and cabbage and move the weed-control fabric to this year's bed. Then I can get the cleared bed ready for the onion sets, which are already climbing out of their modules The weather this Spring has really mucked up any 'plan' I had, so far. I'm never that organised, but still...

Fingers crossed and have a good'un

        • Morning, all.

Cloudy here, as forecast, but the wind hasn't kicked up yet.

Just spotted some blue tits thinking of nesting in a gap in our stone wall. Nice idea, but within reach of our cats. Hope the birds change their minds soon.

Busy paid-work day ahead. All this talk of retirement... Shouldn't be wishing my life away but wouldn't mind being retired at all. Rary, I'm not sure I'd be as willing a taxi driver as you are, though. Good man.

So, on with the show. First stop: the mechanic's to pick up Mr Snoop's Samurai. It's got its MOT today and will fail on lights, which the mechanic hasn't been able to fix because Mr Snoop's mud bashing the other day has broken the light array and it's plastic. So a new one required. Except... the car is so old you can't buy them. Time to start visiting scrapyards... Mr Snoop won't mind. He loves that kind of thing.

          Have a good day, everyone.

          • Good morning all.
Bright and sunny but a bitterly cold breeze.
No plans for today so I will take it as it comes.
            Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

              • Afternoon all. had a frustrating morning. Decided to get a couple of new tyres on the car . Existing ones are road legal but really not suitable for snowy roads. Phoned tyre place to check they had my size in stock and that being confirmed set off. When there, oh dear, their stock records were wrong and they only had one of the correct size. Ah well, one tyre fitted and another ordered. Pain in the behookie or what.

I'm not going to mention that to Mr Snoop. He'd think it a marvellous idea.

I'm pretty sure that on many occasions Mr Snoop volunteers to do the shopping so that he can visit any local tips.

                      • Mornings!

Another bright sunny, but freezing cold, morning.
Hail stopped play yesterday, so ended up pruning the garden roses between showers. I might get more done today.... if it ever warms up a tad

                        • Morning all. You had a lie-in there, FF?

Very bright, very blue and very, very breezy here. Plus perishing cold, but there we go, it's that time of year. Hope you're all surviving in whatever conditions you've got. Hopefully no-one flooded out.

Busy day ahead for me. Got some admin chores that I hate doing. Plus plenty of paid work. Mr Snoop away for the day, so trying to resist eating the half bar of chocolate that he probably hasn't forgotten about...

Have a good one, everyone. Catch you later.

Another bright sunny day but still very cold.
Domestics first and then hopefully some greenhouse gardening.
Have a good day all and stay warm.
