    • Evening all. I’m in a pub making use of their WiFi. It took me a little time to work out why I couldn’t connect to the internet. It turns out Openreach were porting someone’s usual home number to their new address and got it wrong and changed mine instead. They said it will take 3days to sort it out with no guarantee that I get my old number back. I hope they pay compensation for this. If I don’t get my old number back I’ll be jumping through hoops with my ISP to sort the mess out and it’s not BT who I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole. It’s just a pita that they do the infrastructure through Openreach.

I had to chair a meeting tonight without having read all the details. I might go to some where I wing it , but not when I chair them.

I’ve decided to stand for deputy mayor this year. I’ve always turned it down before as I hate having my photo taken, but after last years diagnosis I’ve realised it doesn’t matter what I look like, it’s time to be me.

Hopefully I’ll be back online tomorrow or Friday.

        • Mornings!
Started piddling down at about 4am (rain on the window woke me up) and it still is, so of course the path is flooded so Mollycat didn't want to go out.
I think both sowing and sewing are on the cards today...

          • Morning just a light sprinkling of snow just enough to make the garden look pretty. It will soon be gone though.

            • I always think that if snow hangs around on the ground, its a sign there is more to come.
Still quite a bit lying so, we shall see. Bit of sunshine at the mo so that helps gladden the heart anyway.

              • Morning all.

Covid-19 now thought to be circulating in Spain undetected, as it was in Italy before all the now confirmed cases became symptomatic. So that has rather focused our minds on matters. This is when living off grid becomes complicated: you can't just turn on a tap and out comes clean water.

Other than that, a reasonable day beckons weatherwise. Blue skies, very cold, bit blowy but no chance of snow.

Good luck with all your plans, Janie. Hope you get your connection sorted quickly.

Catch you later. Meanwhile, have a good one, everyone.

So looking forward to seeing her.

                          • Evening all we had a cold and frosty morning in Kildare it was 1’C at 7:30 and car windscreens were frozen. Temperatures picked up during the day, it was 7’C when I got home this evening so decided to light the stove.
Stay safe everybody and remember to wash your hands, don’t want to be spreading any viruses.

                              • Evening All!
I was in Morries today and the lady on the checkout said that she knew me from somewhere. What was my name?
I told her my name and maiden name, and where I grew up. As soon as I told here that, she knew me instantly! We grew up in the same street - she was at No 4 and we were in No 34.
To be honest, I didn't remember her at all but she said she recognised me and my voice. That is the really scary bit since she can't have seen/heard me for over 50 years. I must have kept my youthful looks (and voice), unlike rary.
When we were kids, everyone in the street was our nominal Auntie or Uncle and the front doors were always open so we used to drift in and out of each other's houses. She remembered my Mum and said she'd pass the word around her family that she was 100!!
Mum will be amazed when I tell her. So am I.

                                Nos da.
