Good evening, a cold wet day today had to take OH to the doctors this morning she now has an other course of steroids to take and the Doc will phone tomorrow to let her know what antibiotics she will need to take, I hope they work as its quite worrying going on as long as this, garden wise the only thing iI have done is feed the birds and came in soaking doing that as the rain just hammered down with no forewarning, well don't go daft tomorrow remember all the shops will be open again on Friday, some on Thursday, though Thursday is a bit late for me to buy OHs Christmas present

Yes, I joined the panic buyers today as the shops being closed for one or two days will mean hardship won't it? Yups, having to eat leftover turkey and trimmings on boxing day could mean a fate worse than death. Personally, I could probably live for a week on the turkey and its carcase and not even think of anything better,
Anyways, we wanted some prawns which we picked up in Markies after visiting her ladyship's Dad in his old folks home. Her brother is going in to have lunch there with him on Christmas day. Take my hat off to him for that. We did invite him here, the brother that is but he was adamant he was going to keep his Dad company,

Rary, hope your wife will be back to full health soon.
Good evening all.
Well the walk didnt materialise as grandson has now decided he doesn't want to go in the buggy.
This little placid person has now developed a will of his own.
Instead of playing with his toys he decided to play with the Christmas tree ornaments.
Feeling pretty wrecked after a tough day.
However,,,, he will be going in the buggy the next time I am caring for him.
Have a good evening all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Morries were giving away bags of wonky carrots on Saturday - to feed the reindeer. Apparently, the weather this year has been bad for carrot farmers and many of the carrots were not saleable as "perfect". I'm assuming that Morries paid the farmers, at what price, I don't know!

Mornin Flon'all
Seasons greetings to you too Flo. Yup...all ready for it
We've decided to take 3days off from building work, so today will probably entail chopping wood
(I wonder if I offer to make more mince pies I might be able to get out of helping????)
Nice long weekend for you to look forward to Flo!
Apparently our electrician turned up unannounced yesterday and left because we didn't hear him knocking at the door. You'd have thought he'd have phoned first wouldn't you?
Oh well.....
Rary...give yr Mrs a hug from me, she must be fed up of feeling so rotten for so long. Let's hope by New Year she'll be back to normal x
Actually I send a big hug to anyone in need of one....for whatever reason xx
Right...anyone for a brew?
Kettle's just boiled..."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Thanks for the offer of a brew, Nicos. But Mr Snoop has just outlined his start to the day: make me coffee, get the range lit, walk the dogs and then do the washing-up. I gave him a slice of the latest loaf with his morning tea. Must have been good!
Anyway, morning all. Beautiful sky early on but now the clouds are just cold white looking. Forecast is for a hazy sky. Ah well. I'll be stuck at the computer again, so it doesn't make much difference.
Hope you all have a lovely day. Hope Mrs Rary starts to feel a bit better.

Mornings!
My back has started to complain, so I'll be taking things very gently today - a lots of tea n biscuits day, I reckon lol
The only things I really have to do are to deliver some cards and biscuits to neighbours along the terrace, and get stuff out of the freezer for tomorrow....
The sky is hazy blue and the sun has made an appearance again feels chilly though.
Have a good'un

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro’ the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse'
I've got the smallest and cheapest fresh turkey crown I could find, as a single meal with turkey is about all OH and I care for. I'll grab some veg from the lottie in the morning so that its nice and fresh, but parsnips at 29p a bag were too good an offer to miss.
OH gave me a big pile of prezzies to put under the tree from her to me. I've only got her one, so i hope she likes it.
We always, as a family play cards for money on boxing day so will have to rake out all my small change.
Hope you all have a good day today. My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Sorry, haven't got time to do catch up. Maybe after tomorrow. Really miffed at not being in the GR. Had some major, non Christmassy, problems. At the moment I just want to take the pressies over to my daughter tomorrow and come home and have a quiet day just me and the dogs and a log fire. I'd be happy with fish fingers chips and peas. My biggie problem is that my bed is a camp cot in the office. Once I'm in it it is very comfy. Last year I had a bit of a problem getting out of it, this year it is definitely a nono, but I've been told I've no choice.
How do I explain to my very lovely daughter, hostess of Christmas, that her elderly mother has incontinence problems, can't get out of said cot in the middle of the night and will wet herself. Oh the problems aren't old age. I've been dealing with it since toddlerdom, something medical. My doctor retired and my new one has decided to see how I manage without the pills. Why pick Christmas to experiment?"I prefer rogues to imbeciles as they sometimes take a rest" (Alexander Dumas)
"It is neccessary to have wished for death in order to know how good it is to live" (also Alexandre Dumas)
