  • Mornin Snoopn'all
    Lots of sploshy again here.
Had a great cycle ride yesterday. Fantastically sunny right up until literally the last couple minutes when we started getting a very fine drizzle. Perfect timing!

We're supposed to be back working on the lounge again today....might put that off for another 24hrs...

      • Mornings!
We have drizzle, or is it mizzle? - misty very fine rain that soaks you through in seconds - well Mollycat looked drowned anyway
I've got another 'xmas' dinner to cook this afternoon - for some of my family that were working NHS shifts through the holiday. Some housework to do first though...
        Have a good'un

Its soggy underfoot and a bit drippy overhead but it'll be sunshiny soon
The birds are busy this morning on the feeders, blue and great tits mainly although the long-tailed tits were there yesterday - must have been a dozen at least.
There are 2 robins sitting on the fence, about a foot apart, looking very festive and a hedge sparrow beneath the feeder clearing up the discarded bits.
If I wasn't a chicken, I think I'd be a sparrow, a bit dull and drab but an expert at feeding on other people's unwanted food. Sort of yellow stickered fatballs.
What sort of bird are you???

              It's a lovely morning at 7 degs.
No visitors today so may go out walking.
It's nice to get back to normal.
              Have a good day all.

I also love to watch the spuggies . I aint no ornathologist but must admit I do recognise the robins red breast, and love to watch them. (That reminds me , I have an old tea pot which I will hang on the fence today with a bit of straw in it and see if I can get a robin to take up residence.)

                  • Good evening all.
                    What a lovely day.
The trump got up to 13 degs.
Managed to spend a few hours in the garden.
Cut down the dead foliage on the dahlias.
Covered the tubers over with the soil from the spent tomato containers.
Raked up all the dead leaves.
Got some weeding done and tidied up the strawberry plants.
It was lovely to be back doing something garden relatedl

Mince and tatties were a welcome return to normality

                        • Mornin n'alln'all
Very misty start to the day here.
We're freezing the last of our meat
Looking forward to a pasta dish of sorts tonight.

I always overbuy fresh fruit so looks like we'll be having a lot of fresh fruit salad for a few days

                          • Good morning, it looks a bit dull this morning haven't been out yet but just taken OH a cup of tea while she is still in bed and I think we are going shopping, nothing we need but she wants to go out, I am quite sure that if she stays in she will find plenty to do as there will be a list shortly of a he things I have missed come to think on it even I could make up a list of the things I should have done, yes I think we will go out
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                            • Mornings!

Had a lovely time with the family yesterday, lord are those (teenage) grandchildren growing up quickly and so self-assured, not like me at that age..
It's still damp and grey so no gardening - so a restful, book-reading day instead, to help with return to normality.

                              Have a good'un whatever you're up to
