      • Yes, I am cutting back as well.
Back to having my homemade soup for lunch every day.
Starting to batch cook and freeze my own dinners so wont be tempted.
Not really overweight but need to firm up and trim down a little.
Also need to get back to healthy eating.

          • Nicos could you have chips have 4 or 5 just enough for a taste, would that work, rather than going without or having a plate full.

            • Nicos what about making healthy chips, I peel and chip my potatoes then a quick boil in salted water, drain and let them dry out. Meanwhile have your oven on at 200-220’C then use the low calorie spay oil, spray an oven tray with the oil, let this heat up n the over for about 5-8 mins, then add your chips to the tray, spread them out so they are not touching and spray with the spray oil, you can get a really nice chilli oil spray, then back in the oven, after about 10-12 mins check chips they should have started to crisper up, and you can shake the tray to turn them over and spray again if needed. Enjoy with a nice low calories mayo dip, or simple salt and vinegar.

              • I've just had a plate of homemade battered fish and chips - lovely crispy batter (I've finally mastered the recipe) and chips - and a glass of red.
                Diets - Pah!!

I'm another one that won't be dieting, simply because I don't need to

I am now going on to YouTube to see if there are any tips for growing an other 18 inches taller, then my weight will be perfect

That's how I cook potato wedges (thicker than chips so less oil absorption )

                    • Good evening, it has been a cold wet day, so no garden work carried out, fed the birds this morning then went up to the church to take down the tree and decorations, then to the barbers for a polish, after that i collected daughters dog unfortunately she didn't get much of a walk as we weren't out that long when the rain started again and ofcours no umbrella with me so by the time I got back in the house the water was running out me, I then told DiL I would collect the boys from school and come 3 o-clock the rain was off but no matter I enjoyed their company I dropped them off then had a quick cuppa before going up for the older 2 coming home from school now off to watch a bit of TV

I do the same. We have an air frier and you only need the least spray for them to cook.

Sometimes I use the airfrier to finish the chips off to get them crispy

                            • We have an acti fry, I don't like the chips at all, we don't have a deep fat frier either, so chips are often bought oven chips this time of year, we eat more jacket tatties

                              • I was very nearly 21 stone on january 1st 2019.. :|

I've always been large, but theres large - and there's large!

What I find interesting is when I completely shelve carbs, my asthma completely disappears.. I have had to take daily steroids and a reliever for almost my entire 36 years.

Cut out the bread and potatoes and I dont get any symptoms, I've not taken my medication in three days now!

Don't get me wrong, i bloody love both. Weird.
