  • Mornings!

It's grey mucky weather again today, sooo need to see some sunshine to lift my mood.
I've no idea what I'm doing today, if anything - I'll just make it up as I go along

Diet has hit hard this morning, I've woken up absolutely starving, which is very unusual for me. I'm not supposed to be eating for at least another hour. Lots of black or lemon tea will get me through.... hopefully

Have a good weekend whatever you're up to

    • Good morning all.
Its blowing a gale here and rain on the way.
Dont think pitch and putt will be on the cards for today,
However, there is a pile of ironing waiting for me so I may tackle that.
Have a good day whatever er you're doing.

      • Morning all. As it was bright yesterday I decided to bring my metal detector out of retirement and have a go with it on an old demolished school site.
I had forgotten how hard on the body it was with all that bending and digging. Anyway sum total for the day was 6 x 2p, 1x1p, three old style ring pulls and two new style ring pulls. I also found various car parts, loads of buried aluminium drinks cans, a probably live electric cable and a possibly live gas main. Two hours was enough for me, but I enjoyed re-aquainting myself with my aged detector.
My long time plan was to fish during the summer and metal detect during the winter.

Started my low carb diet recently and I am on a protein rush just now so enthused I intend sowing mixed chillies, Habanero chillies and some chives today. Some of the chives I intend just leaving in a pot on the window sill and the rest will eventually go in my herb bed by the back door.

        Have a goodun you lot.

Just got back from hospital....check ups now going to be 18 monthly instead of yearly...so I'm a happy bunny!
In and out pretty quickly too so that gave us the chance to buy more building stuff before the place closed for lunch.

Am about to have breakfast as we left stupidly early....16 hr fast for me Thelma....not out of choice!..can you hear my tummy rumbling from there?

            • Good evening, it has been a wild day today heavy squally showers and some flooding on the roads, took OH out for breakfast and I paid, though she wanted her change back after that we went to a factory shop just to give her somewhere to walk round, but once she was finished we needed to go back home as she felt all washed out, once home she had a snooze and now feeling a bit better and to save me any bother I went for fish suppers for tea, I thought I would get the leftovers but no, cleared her plate still some strong gusts of wind so no greenhouse tonight, I will let her watch the rubbish on TV while I read my book, glad you like the selfie Snoop I think the camera has caught me just right. Well enjoy your evening and smile

                            Each to their own
Though we did watch a film that was recorded some time over the festive season about a dog living through several lives and it was enjoyable

                            • Morning all. Bright blue again, but everywhere, including the trees, is white with frost.

All this talk of starting off seeds is making me panic. I've got weeks to go yet before I can start anything off. One decision made: not bothering with any potatoes this year. Too thirsty and water is going to be an even bigger problem than in previous years by the look of it. Growing in my expanded plot is off the cards again, sadly.

Not much other news. Mr Snoop brought back my other bread-making accoutrements from the post office yesterday. All fantastic. Not a single drop of buyer's remorse. Last thing to come is a bread dome/cloche from the Netherton Foundry... Better get some work done today to pay for it all.

                              Have a good one, everyone.

                                is everyone having a lie-in?
Howling wind and rain on the windows woke me up early, with Mollycat hiding under the covers. Can't say I blame her
Lights on indoors, no gardening today..
                                Have a good'un
