    Very proud of him

Nicos have a look on the internet to see if you can find the Whistlebinkies their bodhran player was fantastic to listen to
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

    • Good evening!

Nice busy day ag work again.. Friday's are always quiet so fingers crossed for tomorrow..

Managed a 24 hr fast, no food past my lips from 7pm Wednesday to 7pm today - peoples instant reactions to fasting is that it's not good for you.. but fasting is very different to starving yourself, and has many health benefits.
I wouldn't recommend anyone tries fasting straight off - I haven't eaten carbs for 14 days now so I'm not running on sugar.

..and don't even get me onto John Kellogg coming up with the phrase 'breakfast is the most important meal of the day!'

      • Good night all.
Had a lovely afternoon with my grandson, now 18 months old.
I feel I am now on first name terms with Peppa Pig and Paw Patrole.
Off to have a "grown up" programme as my brain has been fried.
        Have a good night all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Blimey I think my 16 hour fast is quite enough, without trying to do a 24hr one. All I can say is good luck with that!

It's not as bad as you'd think.. the first 4 are fine because you have just eaten, then a good 7 hours asleep.. wake up, get to work..we're half way there!

Bit hungry around mid morning, plenty of water, distract myself with a walk around my syndicate fishing lake (exactly 1 mile circumference) at lunch.

Back from lunch and we're 5 hours from eating again.. plenty more water...

Home from work at 6pm.. catch up with the family and boom.. 7pm has arrived!

            • Evening, been out in the wild winds trying to catch a Cod again, the weather forecast predicted dry and not too windy...……………………..they were wrong, I was actually blown off my feet, all 17 stones of me and it lashed it down, it was like trying to fish in a washing machine. Caught nothing again, oh well. G'night all.

                    • Mornings!

Awake bright and breezy, I actually slept right through! Can't remember the last time I did that
I didn't get the glass in the g/h yesterday, don't think it's safe when it's breezy - forecast looking better for the weekend - sunny & calm, but colder but I'll be wearing gloves..

More domestics for me today, bed already stripped and washing in the m/c. What a difference a good sleep makes
                      Have a good'un.

Hair cut time again thats the only downside of having short hair MrPots thinks I should have a buzz cut same as I do his, but thats to short for me these days.

Bought my seed potatoes yesterday thats my first garden purchase of the year, it will be compost next.
Thinking about fasting I never realised that I fasted for 12 hours most days, have dinner at 7-ish rarely eat after that sometimes a few peanuts, then breakfast is at 7 or 8 ish. I suppose a lot of people do the same I don't think I could comfortably go without food for longer than that though. Fair play to those who can.

                        • Weather forecast for next week firming up. Up to 80 cm of snow forecast for here. Mr Snoop says we'll be all right getting out on the dirt tracks... I've got a plane to catch on Thursday. Bright blue now, amazingly.

Sorry to read of all your travails, LD. Do you have the finances to buy in some help to persuade him to exercise? My Dad had carers come from the council to give him a shower. I was surprised what he would tolerate from other people that he would have refused point blank if my mum had asked. I know it varies from local authority to local authority, but they were paying under 8 pounds an hour. This of course assumes that your council has such a service. Have you ever asked for respite care? Four years is a long time... My mum never asked and she was at her wits' end. Big hug.

Trying to clear some work this morning. Lunch out today. Don't suppose anyone really wants to know I'm making a Bakewell Pudding for afters...

                          Have a good day, everyone.

No excuse not to enter the snow creation thread this year then Snoop?

Crikey Captn...that's some feat! I struggle with 15-16 hrs tbh. Funny how everyone's body tolerate different aspects of dieting in different ways!

Lottie-that's hard work mentally as well as physically. Is Day care a possibility just to give you a few hours to yourself?

                              • Good morning.
                                A lovely bright sunny morning.
Off out to the park shortly.
Hopefully an afternoon in the garden.

Lottie, you need to take care of yourself firstly.
I dont know anything about the health service where you are.
You should look for some kind of respite or day care for to give you a break.
                                Hoping things improve for you.

Have a good day all and be good to yourselves.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
