Looking forward to some bacon butties when we get to the uk!

          Dull grey and wet here.
Looks like domestics for the moment.

            • Had a busy day today. Hospital for CAT scan (nothing serious, nasal polyps). My third attempt. First time they did an X-ray, second time the machine wasn't working, third time lucky. Took advantage of being in the big city (population 16,000) to do a bit of shopping and have lunch out. Am now totally stuffed. If we'd done the shopping after lunch, I wouldn't have put half the things in the trolley. Two packets of biscuits and two bars of chocolate! Plus the proper food of course, honest.

No paid work today and only a bit tomorrow. None Friday, I suspect, and a weekend of a bit of gardening. I'll be back at it on Monday, but quite nice in the meantime. No farny today but I did have a lie-in.

Have a nice evening, everyone. Have a great trip back, Nicos.

              • Afternoon, I got my gardening finished then messed around in the GH while it rained emptying plant pots and tidying up until it got to cold. So not a bad afternoon

                • Not a good week, weather was good on Monday so planned to have a long morning at the allotment but when I went out I found I had a puncture. Took the wheel off and took it to the garage down the road and it came back with a new tire at 5.30 p.m. day over. Tuesday had to sort out my mums meals on wheels as they are not plating up the food as asked. Eventually got to see someone only to find she had asked them to leave it in the trays, after lunch had to go to mums as she had a doctors visit and there has to be someone present for an examination. Then trip to Aldi for Our shopping, Mums shopping and father in laws shopping after compiling lists. Got to Moreton in Marsh to find the town closed due to an accident, so a 5 mile detour as the supermarket is on the far side and 4 mile detour on the way back as road still closed. Today had to wait in for a tradesman for a quote on some roof repairs then it rained for the rest of the day, so not achieved anything so far this week and we have hail forecast for the morning. That's it moan over.

                  • Good evening all.
Nothing achieved gardenwise today as it was wet.
Bought a new set of saucepans yesterday and decided to get rid of the old ones.
Emptied the two pan drawers and thought they could do with a wash.
One job borrowed the other and everything including pans, woks baking tins all the other bits and bobs ended up being scrubbed. Then washed down all the kitchen presses, washing machine and cooker.
Pretty tired now but it was probably a job that needed doing.
If anybody told me this morning that I would do all that today I would have laughted.

                      • Good evening, the day started off dry so walked the boys to school then went a walk with their dog, after that collected the other dog and took her for a walk as well but the rain started just before the walk was finished, I then was at the church to wait for someone who was coming to give an estimate for a repair job only to be phoned and told he couldn't manage, I know unavoidable things can happen but I could have put the time to better use, so not too chuffed with that I could have done some inspecting of the inner eyelids, the temp. showing 8n the car was 8c but felt colder and as usual heavy rain as the school came out so collected the younger two and brought them down to their gran and I went to get the older two and waited with them till their mum came home, was going to go out to the greenhouse for a time but its too cold and too wet so just brousing the Vine. Keep safe and warm and have a smile close at hand there will be someone who will appreciate it

                        • Evening everybody, left the house at 8 this morning to drive to the midlands of Ireland, it lashed rain all the way, spent a 21/2hr meeting during which the rain never stopped, then back to the office arriving at 2:30 driving all the way back in rain. I’m fed up with the squeak of the wipers

                              • Mornin all. Vine seems very slow this morning for some reason? I may need to get the hamster in the pooter checked over.

Went in shop to get some fishing gear yesterday and came out with another five packets of veg seed! Thought I would give butternut squash a try this year.

Grey and miserable outside so deffo a day for indoor activities.

                                Take care folks!
