  • Happy anniversary, Nicos. Hope you have a lovely day.

Bright and warm here today. But I had to make some buns, so the range had to go on. Bit hot in the kitchen to say the least. And I had hoped the buns would last longer than it looks like they will...

Got to go into the village today to pick up a package and to visit the chemist's. Only my second outing during the lockdown. My car is waist-deep in grass, all grown in the month since my last outing.

Hope you all have a great day.

    • HAPPY ANNIVERSARY NICOS, enjoy your day.

Morning all, dull and rather chilly! Housework for me today as I got nothing done yesterday, the weather was just too good. Expecting a food delivery later, just as well as cupboards and fridge are almost empty. OH pointed out yesterday that he had noticed no food waste...anyone else noticed that. Can only be a good thing.
Anyhoo, enjoy your day, hope you have sunshine wherever you are. x

                • Afternoon everyone,

It's a beautiful day here, sad knowing it's going to be winter again come Sunday.
After I did my morning pot shuffle in and out, I decided to have a little sit in the sunshine, it was very nice. Not long after I noticed my face was feeling rather hot, odd, I looked in the mirror to see my face had turned blotchy and beetroot red. I'd only been sat in the sun for about 10 minutes, so it wasn't sunburn.
Then the penny dropped, it must have been the Hyaluronic Acid Serum I had put on my face earlier.

So let that be a warning to anyone who uses that not to then sit in the sun, even for a short while or you'll look as awful as I do now!

I've decided I am not doing anymore potting on until after this cold snap has passed...ooh, that said, as I type, I could sow hard winter veg couldn't I and put them straight into the unheated greenhouse? I'm thinking Spring cabbage, Peas, PSB, Savoy cabbage.

                  Off to have a ponder.

Hope you're all having a lovely day!

                  • Happy Anniversary Nicos. I hope you 2 have a lovely day.

Beautiful weather today. I'll have to wait until it gets cooler before I get out in the garden. I have a lilac just outside of my kitchen window, the smell is wonderful but I see that the flowers are starting to go brown. The idea with this part of the garden is a sensory area. So far I have Lilac (already in existence when we moved in), Viburnum (ditto) and Philadelphus. I have lavender and honeysuckle ordered and roses that they won't dispatch until November.

The next bit is fruit and veg and where I've put the PT. The last bit has my she shed (euphemistically called the summerhouse by my daughter), and will have another, small patio, barbeque, pond etc.

In the meantime I'm chilling with a glass of white wine.

                      • Not zipping along this morning, either. But patience is a virtue, Rary. One we women have aplenty.

Slightly overcast here this morning. Probably no bad thing as Mr Snoop and D will be sorting out the chicken compound. It was badly damaged by falling branches and needs sorting for the three chickens arriving on Monday. Surprising how excited we all are!

Other than that, going to try and settle down to some work. Mum is still in hospital but they told us all yesterday that she's not benefiting from the physio, so she's going into an assessment place and from there probably into a home. She's struggling a bit mentally too. Very hard for her to cope with under the current circumstances, as none of her kids is allowed to visit. Could be worse, though. There was another Covid case on her ward and I wouldn't like to be that person at all.

So, no distractions today. Apart from the usuals...

Have a great day, everyone. Stay safe and have fun too.

Your garden plans sound lovely Janie, have you any pictures? I love lilac , reminds me of mums old neighbour who had a lilac tree that hung over the fence when I was a small child. I wonder if one would grow here.
Feeling the need for tealoaves now lottie.
Did I read snow for some places on Sunday peanut, I'm not sure where though.
I didnt manage to get on last night as it seemed slow, seems ok at the moment.
We had a bbq last night , shall have another tonight and maybe tomorrow until the weather turns.

Plan today is carry on cleaning the caravan and deck staining. Potting on and dog walks. Nothing exciting.
Have a lovely day, bank holiday Friday.

His home rang yesterday to say everyone is being tested for covid. Thing is how often will they test? It will come in from outside so may not be positive this week, may be next week and then how accurate are the tests.
                            Enjoy your day .
