Brrrr its fresh out there and no wind. Gh down to -0.2 . I have brought a big tub in without holes in the bottom to stand my runner beans in , they're climbing around the top of the window now.
I was planning to potter in the garden but it's a touch cold at the moment. Need to decide what I'm doing with the old herb planter , should I install as holding bed for my cuttings and split plants or use as a veggies raised bed somewhere.
Dogs to walk first.

Morning all. it was frosty here first thing, but the sun's warmed it all away now, though still a chill in the air. Got my Mum up, dressed and fed, so off out for a walk now before too many peeps are out and about.

Great names for the hens, Snoop, never heard of Castilians, or getting hens by mail order !

Three of us all round the table doing exactly the same thing last night... Eeh, but we mek us own fun (I'm allowed to do that, Mr Snoop is a Yorkshireman).

More rain due today and tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, in fact all the tomorrows till the middle of next week. Getting fed up. The ground is still too wet to do anything and it's the middle of May. And all my pepper plants have been chewed off at the top by snails, as have half my leeks. I can see me giving in and buying plug plants, if I can find any, that is.

Right, that's enough moaning. Work to be getting on with. So, no shirking or shilly-shallying.

Morning another chilly night in the GH a low of 2.3c it didn't take long to shoot up to 25c once the sun hit it, looks like being a shorts day here

Morning, not so bad here last night, 5 degrees in the greenhouse, still chilly wind though, I'm waiting for more pond plants and bog plants for the edges. Stay safe all

HI all,well done FL,am hopefull that when it is up to full speed,as was in the the earier years,we will dare to press things and get out again,without getting frustrated,and actually learn this new one,lesson over.
Been chill here,was able to stand an hour down the plot doing some hoeing now i can see the onion shoots,the frost has had a go at the spudzz,and what few runners are out,but hopfully will be ok,have seen a lot worse,looks a better outcome for tonight,also hoping i can get MR to come with me,no excuse,now have a little heater in the shed,just until the sun shows it's face,i have a load of chitted Bbeans to put under the ground,before they rot,also some ratte salad spuds i had given,i keep getting @@@@@tooth ache to day,is worse with warmer stuff,but ok with ice cream,BIG SMILE,a tooth is a bit wobbly,as i do get such aches around my gums and ears,at time's
,i hope it goes away,and is only because i was out this morning and got bit cold,if not,guess what i shall be FORCED to do in the morning,I HATE DENTISTS,look after yourselves,see you when i can hehehehe.
Snoop nice names,and as for chickens by mail order Mothhawk,if a bride can be got,why not a chicken,should be easier to deliver hehehehehe

Been tired again , not sure what causes it. I prefer to think its medication related. But I went outside this afternoon re-arranging greenhouse and adding bigger canes to my runner beans indoors.
I put a post about turnips as not sure what I'm doing.
walk tonight with dogs , fire lit and now tired again.
Think it will be another early night.

Good evening I don't know if its because things are quieter at this time or if there has been further work done on the forum but definitely going quicker just now, and Cg no parties I don't bother with birthdays as much now as OH won't allow candles on my cake, she says the cake would be too big if I wanted to put candles on it and then it's too much of a fire risk, and LD chickens are a lot less bother than a bride whither by post or not

Hello Flo , good to see you. Hope you've got you clout on today. It's a very cold wind again here though the sun is shining.
GH was 1degree last night. Had a minuscule amount of rain last night . Water butt needs filling today. I had even repositioned the thing ready for a deluge.
GH open, dogs are fed, shopping list made, dishwasher emptied, dog walk shortly..will be a hat and gloves kinda walk.
OH will be shopping for us and mum today then we will deliver that and her new battery mower to her.
I was moaning about forgetting to get myself a heated propagator each yr then struggling, OH has ordered me one **big grin**
