My resident hypochondriac was moaning and groaning that he felt as if he was coming down with cold and generally feeling sorry for himself. I suggested a hot toddy.
He's had two. I don't know if they have actually done him any good but he's stopped moaning and is smiling again. Must admit I had one too (as a preventative measure).Comment

Long, long time ago... our house in the UK got burgled. There are a few things I really regretted losing. Will never get another white Wedgewood full dinner and tea set (bought for 50 pounds, seconds but any oddities were nigh on invisible, and I checked plenty; I felt like those ladies you see in Westerns given fancy china sets by their beau). Anyway, will never have another one of those, but have just ordered online from AbeBooks the two recipe books that I was sorry were stolen and never thought I'd find again. AbeBooks is new to me, but what a find! Dead pleased.Comment

Waiting for a parcel. A monthly cheese delivery that's part of a Christmas present. I used to hate waiting in for parcels but now I love getting parcels you can track.....watching the van get nearer and nearer and the drop numbers getting closer to mine. It's like counting down the days to Christmas when you are a kid (but much faster).
