Broadband logic ?

Changing broadband provider, seems you have to these days. Strange as if they offered a reasonable everlasting deal you wouldn't change and they could lose the people selling it.

Anyway:
New router arrived.
First instruction in big and bold:

Do not set up the router until we have activated you broadband. We will send you an email when complete.

So they cease the previous provider, set up their new one, send out an email.
At this stage I will have no connected router, no configured router and no broadband.
So how do I get the email ?

I don’t use the internet on my mobile phone,I’d use someone else’s computer family or friend? Or phone them ask them how do I receive the email without being connected,they’ll probably advise you over the phone?

I can’t join in on a broadband topic because I’ll get very angry, sweary and banned .

We are in the process of dropping +net like a red hot brick. Just saying
