  • Catch them young Party Bags - seeds for children (and they are plastic free )

Children often love to grow things, so Tianna and me thought her friends would enjoy these plastic free party bag fillers.

We made individual seed packets to share for her 9th birthday party bags. She really enjoyed helping measure out the seeds. We made the seed fronts ourselves, which she cut and glued to front of of the lunch envelopes. Plus an guide sheet which we rolled into a scroll.

We used paper lunch money envelopes, cardboard box of wildflower seeds from Wilko, and I ordered some bulk cress seed from eBay. Plus paper party bags of course 

I save my own cornflower seeds just for the girls as they are hardy flowers that come in a range of colours and can be sown at any time of the year. Great for winter days when they want something to sow. Have lots of packs put away for my youngests birthday party bags.

My granddaughters school had the children make up "bee packs"
Brown envelopes which the kids filled with wild flower seeds.
      All hand coloured by them.
Great encouragement while they are young.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

That is a fab idea. I may suggest it to our school garden club to raise funds and be green x
