Pancakes with stewed apple and whipped cream.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I love a crepe type pancake with lime juice and sugar, I hate these American type thick pancakes. I like small drop scone type pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup with sausage

Mad pancake evening here for children. Mine are vegan by accident as my oldest is allergic to dairy, eggs and soya.

It took me years of trying horrible pancakes because of my oldest. Then I saw a recipe suggesting don't worry about the egg just replace with teaspoon of baking powder, and we use rice milk instead of dairy.

They taste lovely and very much normal, so we all eat them like that now hth xxx

I made two lots, English pancakes for my Mum and American pancakes for me. Mum likes orange juice and sugar, I had lemon and honey.

I always make double the amount because pancakes freeze really well. I put a layer of greaseproof paper between each in a stack and seal in a poly bag. Then next time I fancy pancakes for tea there they are, ready made.

I've got a waffle iron, it's about 40 years old, but really, waffles are too much faff to make when the frying pan's right there....

£1.00 for a huge bag of frozen waffles in B&M. OH loves them, I detest them. Like pancakes though.

I make pancakes using sourdough discards its a handy way of using them up. Derbyshire oat cakes are also tasty.
