Hot: Bacon, egg, black pudding and tomato.
Cold: Ham, cheese and mustard. Coleman's, mind you, none of that poncy French stuff.
Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives
At grubbing weeds from gravel paths with broken dinner-knives. ~ Rudyard Kipling

When I lived in Cornwall (pre-RAF days) we had a fab eaterie that turned out .... peanut butter, banana, honey toasted sarnie topped with a monster dollop of the very best Roddas clotted cream. Snowdrop ate far too many of them!

I dont like this, I say it the same way as the old yin,
Sandwiches are, cold meat with lettuce and tomato, cut into nice quarters or triangles
Now a good piece, which is bread and butter with baked beans on it or chips with the top slice pressed down on to them or better still both chips and beans then of course there`s a piece with cheese and blackcurrant jam, I`m sorry I came onto this thread I will need to go and make my self a piece with cheese and butter and jam
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Hot is sausage and white pudding on white batch toast, or chip buttie on white batch with salty butter.
Cold I have 3, white soda bread with cheddar cheese, brown sliced pan with chicken, stuffing and mayo, and brown soda with prawn cocktail open sandwich

                          Soft D pronounced

I am sitting here eating my bran cereal thinking I have missed out...

I like sourdough for most "sand-witches" or "sarnies" the occasional malted seeded loaf, but often make do with the already sliced packaged white farmhouse.

bacon- brown fruity sauce, occasionally with grilled toms
                              sausage- as above
Tuna mayo, with diced cukes and those jarred red pepperino peppers or anchovy stuffed olives. (also good with salad in a wrap.)
Cheddar and Horseradish (either as is or toasted and melty) ham optional
Peanut butter (crunchy natural nothing but nut type) which I then contaminate with Hazelnut chocolate spread!

And once a year my favourite: "how much Christmas turkey dinner can I fit between 2 slices of bread?" Turkey, sliced brussels and roasties, stuffing, cranberry chutney, bread sauce. \Served hot with gravy... cutlery optional
