Had my youngests party today (last hurrah! before forced isolation and homeschooling) so we get to live off her cake for the next month made with goose eggs as that was all I had

Good news for me to share today - I got the results of my latest essay from Open University in my economics module... I got a 77 which is very close to a 1st. If I don't come across as absolutely stunned at that amazing result, please take my word for it

The cider is more to my taste, thanks!
Brought back memories of Coates Triple Vintage cider that came in a shapely green bottle that could be turned into a lampbase!!
In my early working days in the office library, Wednesdays was a bit boring so we'd take it in turns to buy a bottle of Triple Vintage, pour it in our teacups and pretend it was black tea. As the afternoon wore on, we'd get more and more giggly and daft...........
Thanks for the memory, Can.

The first local case in the village just down from us. Person had been elsewhere on a trip. Takes so long to incubate people can be infectious well before they know they've got it.
Meanwhile, we're drinking tea and eating ginger biscuits like there's no tomorrow. Which there very well might not be.

Been trout fishing today on a reservoir in the middle of nowhere on Stanhope moors.
I thought I would self whatchamacallit as usually there is no-one there. The reservoir is gated (luckily) but the minor road leading up to it was crammed with parked cars, cyclist and people out walking. It was unbelievable the amount of traffic, probably with the same idea of getting away from it all and getting some fresh air.
I noticed on the news, people had been asked to stay away from the Highlands as well for the same reason.
The world has gone mad!
Anyway a brace of trout after a couple of hours fishing brightened my day.My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
Diversify & prosper
