  • I had to go into town for a few supplies as number 2 son arrived yesterday and will stay until it's over!!

Walked to and from town down the canal, lovely weather, 19k steps! A few people on the towpath keeping our distances.

In town people generally keeping their distances, Wilko fine, Iceland fine, and then we have Asda.

People standing in the queue on the designated distance markers then a couple of times people just walking between them, at first I wanted to give them a dig then decided how can I blame them for not recognising the 2mtr gap, they looked like they couldn't count to 2!

Anyway home safe with sons meals, given the allotment bits this morning I've had a really productive day

    Stay safe grapes
    Cheers

    Danny

DH and I just talking about that. Wonder when he travelled. Mind you the probably want to keep those in line as far apart from each other!

        • Travel isnt banned so quite easily I would imagine. As next in line to the throne I guess there is some form of protocol for these occasions

          • Travel isn’t banned as such but in many areas, especially rural, where Birkhall house is, it has been made very clear, we are not open to tourists or those coming to second homes.

Can see why royal protocol would have him there. And it is a fantastic place to be in self isolation as he is in the vulnerable category.

Hmm just read he arrived on Sunday, had mild symptoms over weekend and got tested on Monday.

            • Everyone being advised to stay away from holiday homes and caravans as they are putting pressure on local health services...exactly what he did!! Thought there was no non-essential travel?
We have Police on the beat in our town stopping trucks and people asking why they are out!!

              • One rule for some one rule for others. Mild symptoms don't usually get a test for example.

                Hopefully all the staff at his holiday gaff are deemed non essential and he'll have to work out how to boil an egg ;

Bet you'd easily get a test if you were willing to pay for it *wry smile*

                  • There were guards at the entrance of the hospital tonight when I was leaving for the day. I didn't take enough notice to remember if they're police or security, but either way they were stopping everyone coming through to check if they work there. Visiting has been stopped completely, apart from birthing partners and visiting those dying.

One more day at work, and then I've got four days off for a little mini break dedicated to sowing seeds. I might sow some seeds too. Oh and I bet I'll sow some seeds as well

                      • I had a phone call appointment today from my Respiratory clinic DR. They wanted to ensure I knew I was in extremely high risk shielded group. Letter will follow.

They are adding a regular antibiotic to my meds and a rescue pack.

I kinda knew it already, but it's still a shock

He's the bl**dy heir to the throne, and over 70!

How come no-one asks how all these footballers or celebrities get tested? Because they need it...
