Especially as there is a fair chance they may try and chat to me. So I am hiding inside and hoping they go in for dinner soon so I can go outside.
We have a bit of a bigger gap in our Close, but its lovely waving and distantly chatting to the neighbours. My littlest one is going a bit stir crazy, thank heavens for pets and plants for her to help care for.

Sadly our one set of neighbours are still stuck on a cruise ship. Their once in a lifetime World Cruise turned out to be a lot different to what was expected. After being stranded for a week around Africa, they finally managed to refuel and start heading back to Southampton, expected to finally dock in another 7-10 days

          • Oh dear Mamzie, that's awful. Never fancied a cruise myself (what if I hate it and can't get off!), and I think many people will have gone off the idea now.

I used to work on the liners (West coast of North America, Mexico to Alaska) many years ago and it was a great life if you were young and single. I never wanted to go on one but my husband eventually convinced me.
I loved it and we went on several afterwards. It is a shame they will be hit so hard in the future.

              • We have been going on cruises with friends for the last 6 or 7 years.
It's a great way to see places you might otherwise never visit.
For now though, it has put me off.

Anyone for a drink ? Currently sat outside in the cool (cold) breeze with the dogs.

                    • Thanks CG, but I just had one. No, go on then, I'll have a half.

Just had a Chinese meal delivered, first time in my life. I've always preferred to sit in, someone brings the food, no need to clear up etc etc. First world problems I know, but still.... I'm grateful there is a local Chinese take-away that will deliver. A little bit of normality.
