        • Morning
Sunny and breezy still. We have a supermarket run to do today , see if we can get some chicken again.
My question is why the shortage ? Where was the chicken coming from to now be short ?

I shall carry on with my weeding and planting later, followed by cooking on the bbq .

          • ^^^Good luck with your chicken hunting.

Edit: Might be worth checking for some. Tessico had delivery slots for w/c 11/05. Just randomly went on and they were available for me this morning and I am not classed as vulnerable.

Have you got an Aldi? They have had a constant supply.
Does anyone know of any supermarket chain with bread flour?

                • I must have just been lucky with Tesco last week. Checked for priority slots...nothing for at least the next three weeks. No chicken for me again it seems!

                  • Flour bought online out of quarantine today.

Mr Snoop does all our shopping. Still haven't got used to the idea of the food being in quarantine for three days. Makes my usually abysmal food planning absolutely impossible.

Haven't bought any meat or fish since 9 March. A bit in the freezer but just as well we like legumes.

How are you guys all managing with quarantining food? Or is that not a recommendation in the UK?

                      • Apologies to Tesco tried this morning and got a delivery slot for tomorrow, chicken?...we will see
Spoke to a girl on Tesco’s twitter and she said they release slots through the day so as not to crash the website but just to keep trying. Might be worth trying on and off during the day? x

How is food being quarantined? There's limits on buying more than a certain number of things here.

The supermarket delivery slots seem ultimately random, just have to keep looking every few hours. Early morning and tea-time has been lucky for some slots.

As for flour, that's also hit and miss but seems to be coming back into stock.

Been a lovely day here, makes thing more bearable for sure, but we do live in the countryside.

                            • Braved the big wide world today for the first time since the 6th April. Not too bad and the shops were not too crowded. Seemed that people were doing the ‘big shop’ like me. Bought enough for the next three weeks at least. The shelves were mostly reasonably stocked with only a few gaps notably flour!
