Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives
At grubbing weeds from gravel paths with broken dinner-knives. ~ Rudyard Kipling

It's not, but there are several species of juniper in the locale (protected, I believe).

                          Thanks for humouring me.

Fabulous destination - such diversity in one place, geologically, botanically and zoologically. While we were there they shut lots of the touristy places, and shops & restaurants by the end of our stay, but they can't shut nature and they can't close a view.

It could be Africa I think. It's too hilly to be Iceland (the snowy hills could be Iceland or any scandinavian country, but the other pics don't match).

But that somehow feels too hot compared to what you have in the pictures, which all looks very lush.

Listening to VC, if it starts with a C, then I think it's Croatia. I've been there and the nature is so varied, and stunning... and wild.

                              Thanks for entertaining me.

It was the mosaic that gave it away but I'm still clueless about the plants and birds.
Now that I know where they are I'll have another think!!
