Isn't Nick The Grief in 'Sunny Nunny' Nuneaton? Hope he's not got blown away! It's really strange isn't it when you hear of tornadoes over here but we're supposed to get quite a lot but not usually this strong. Just a lot of high winds & rain here with about an hour of bright sunshine in between the bad weather. Take care anyone who's in the affected areas.

Strangely it's glorious sunshine out now!? Still a bit breezy, but everything seems to be drying up outside the office.

            Keeps the dust down...

I left the washing out overnight after a couple of beautiful dry days ... so of course it rained. Sorry folks, my fault

                  Eeek.

Had a deluge and a squally winds at about 6.30am. Had an inch of rain very quickly. Checked the chimney was still there, greenhouse still OK. No leaves left on trees though... they are at least 10 miles away.

Dont know if I had a tornado though, it was too dark out to see.

SMS6, if you go into your personal profile you can update it to show you are in Cornwall. That's always useful for other Grapes to see. Lovely part of the world. Been there a few times.

It brought a good crop of walnuts down in our area. Pic on blog!

Oh horrors. After sunbathing on Sunday, today turned into winter ... lashings of rain and a cold Northerly wind dropped the temp. to 8 degrees at lunchtime. My hands were blue. Horrible.

Well, if Winter isn't just round the corner then Autumn is definitely here. Lots of wind, rain, really chilly mornings and evenings. Even when the sun is out it isn't that warm any more. Temperatures for the whole of September have been well down on last year. Even I (Scrooge) have put the heating on for an hour this evening.

Feels like Autumn to me now that I've started raking up leaves to add to my bin.

Ventured down onto the plot last night just to see how things were and I'm relieved that things aren't too bad.

Runner beans look lik ethey're running out of steam and the courgettes seem to be slowing right down, but the sprouts are still upright (for now), and the cabbages and cauli's still seem to be battling on.

I need to get some serious digging done soon though!
