  • where's the Sunday night chat gone?

hi all, confused here...I can't find last night's Sunday Night Chat thread. What's happened to it? Or is it my eyes gone mad?

If your eyes have gone mad, so have mine.

I looked for it earlier and couldn't find it, decided that I was going nuts and gave up

Oh thankyou! I did actually cycle up Puy de Dome a few years ago (well the car park which is a far as you can go without catching a bus!). Me and the OH on a tandem! One of our many trips to France with some form of bicycle.

There is a proposal to run a funicular (short for funny peculiar) railway up there. That will make it easier.

Of course, there are objections from people whose main aim is not to get to the top, but to make personal capital from boasting that they did the whole thing on foot and without stopping and anyone who doesn't is a weakling who doesn't deserve to go there. To which my response is, "Look at my face. Am I bovvered?"
