Damp, dry and sunny at the moment with warnings of thunderstorms later.
Our dust bowl of a garden is now looking -and smelling- more 'normal' after all our rain.
It'll be a pleasure to rip out the weeds now rather than hacking away at them

A bit grey and breezy but no rain at present. Everything has had a good soaking by now and the 4 ‘lasagne beds’ I constructed yesterday shouldn’t need attacking with the hose pipe anytime soon

Finally had a nice enough day yesterday so I got the plastic fencing up around the veg plot to keep SWMBO's chickens out. Still too wet to do the final roto-tilling and even the planting. Last expected frost date was Sunday so I'm not too terribly late for planting. I'm going to skip the final roto-tiliing.
Of course thunderstorms are in the forecast for the next several days and we had one early this morning (0.8"). If only I were retired I could work around the weather better.

Just did that from my phone ^^^ thought it deleted most of the post.
Was going to say 23C here (in Nottingham) today, mostly sunny with a few fluffy clouds, rather humid and very little in the way of breeze. Haven't had any proper rain for weeks now.
Seems a bit pointless typing it again but at least it's easier on a keyboard.. Lets see what happens this time when I hit Post Reply
