Its not just performance. There's lots about this site I dont like ans i have no confidence it will change for the better

What is wrong with the site has been documented and discussed here for some time. I am not going to repeat it. I guess at this point I no longer care enough.

Site owners can only treat users badly for so long.

It's too late. They had their chance.

I've said goodbye on here many times, in similar circumstances. I'm still lurking but its painful.
Its hard to forget how much time I've given to this site over 14 years - 61,000 posts to boot.
I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.
If there's a functional upgrade - great - but midday has been and gone and there have been no obvious changes. Its all so familiar and sad.

Something happened because briefly I got a message saying the site was inaccessible for a short time. I refreshed it and presto! it appeared. but I haven't noticed anything different yet. Except you double posted

He was blunt. I was blunt back. Not something that I would be normally. And he was still here at 1.30pm, so not as desperate to go as he intimated.

sorry, in fact I'm not sorry, that wasn't blunt, that was down right rude and antagonistic. Totally not what this forum has ever been about.
