Toad or Frog...I don't know which. But in may time the cat found him so to keep him safe I put him in the green house while I put the cat indoors. Then...err I forgot about him.

Cleaning out the green house today I found him.

What should I do....leave him in there over winter or put him back in the garden.

I'd put him somewhere where he can find food. Inside a greenhouse can be quite a barren place ( although warmer) in winter.
Leaves, pieces of wood, and loose soil should do the trick.
Still- a nice find for you either way. ( frogs jump and toads crawl...so you could take him out for a little walk to see what he does ( or she) ...)

If you have a mature garden with shrubs and mature beds I would put him/her outside. I have a "wildlife area" next to the shed where nothing much happens. There is a compost bin, a water butt and not much else, but frogs etc love it because it is mostly undisturbed.

Toads don't do much in the winter(much like me)So if you can leave your greenhouse door open a toads width he will either stay in luxury or move out to do what toads do i.e eat your slugs!

Could I train hm to eat the ones at the allotment?

Or I could do a takeaway for him.
