good for you! unfortunatly greyhounds aren't really considered pets in this country even though they do make brilliant pets. the swedish and the italians seem to go mad for their greys/lurchers etc though!

            Hi Polly,

Do you normaly have a stand at Crufts? I am usually there with my pet beds and there is a greyhound stand just across from me with some lovely dogs (and people)

Long shot but maybe we have met?

We have had two rescue dogs for over ten years now. One of them is a greyhound and, even at his great age, he is still a brilliant pet - one of the gentlest and least demanding dogs I have ever owned. Great fun, too - especialy if he is 80 metres away at the bottom of the garden when I call him for dinner!

aww, bless him. they are such docile dogs, people always assume they need so much excersize and are hyper but I think they are just big couch potatoes sometimes!

This is my second rescue greyhound and my experience is that they are among the laziest of creatures. Hozever, when off the lead, anything smallish and furry that moves is fair game for chasing.

Done that. The Natch is a rescue dog as her previous owners wanted her put down cos sh attacked the cat ..... that was good enough for me, we had her. I looked at a resuce Greyhound but I don't think it would have liked all the walks I do and the Natch takes up most of the setee ( or the bed!!)
