  • eeeek frost!

Well it's happened here in Oxon! The first proper frost.
Peppers were out and against a tall drystone wall, they seem ok, but how long does it take to show signs of frost damage?
Pumpkins and butternuts are still out and were growing, will the crop be ok?

I got up for the loo at 405am this morning, took a peek outside and definitely a frost, but on waking this morning ti was to find thick fog and everywhere very wet! I've got to go to work today, and Mr D is working this morning, so he's off to the plot this afternoon to see what damage has been caused, I'm just glad we harvested the last of the 9 baby bear pumpkins yesterday, which should mean we've nothing much left outdoors that could be lost to the frost!
    Blessings

Really heavy frost here too and I didn't have the fleece out last night

Went to pick oh up last night on way home and forgot he was watching the footie in the pub, by the time we got home it was too dark

I am dreading going to see what is left

We got the fog like Mrs D. this morning & it was a bit nippy this morning but didn't notice any actual frost on anything. Definitely need to get the 'delicates' undercover now though!

Here it's been very damp and misty in the early mornings but clear during the day. I guess frost isnt too far away, but hasn't arrived yet.
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance
