Well, I'm speachless! Thankyou all for the kind wishes, I had to work today, but as I'm owed about a gadzillion hours in lieue I finished early and came home, to find Mr D waiting, the front of the house all decorated (by two friends - I'll get em all back, just wait and see!!) and to find a table booked for this evening at my favourite restaurant for us and 2 friends!
Had some lovely cards, one with a big 40th Birthday badge, and some lovely prezzies!
I got a new phone (with Bluetooth and a camera in it), a medium sized whicker trug, some choccies, a lovely pair of earrings, a bottle of bubbly, a bottle of witches blood and of course pampering by Mr D!
Well impressed, and overwhelmed by all the lovely messages on here from my fellow grapes, you're a lovely bunch of wonderful peeps! Thankyou!
The Bunch of Bugg..... I mean very nice caring lovely friends!!
Well, I get home to find the house decorated, the table booked at a restauraunt, and then get told to go check the plot on the way to the meal, only to find they've gone n stuck stuff to the greenhouse too!
Then we get home after a lovely meal and they bring out cake, complete with candles! I'll never live it down!
Love to hubby and friends for a wonderful day, and to you guys for all the wonderful comments! Enjoy the piccies!
I know it was your 40th, but 40 candles on one cake was a bit excessive - my missus just put one on mine - or rather through it. She baked the cake, cut a hole in centre and stuck in a church candle !!

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.
