I joined facebook a couple of weeks ago, I am online quite alot, so it is something else to do.
I too have come accross old friends, and its good for information and just getting to know people better.
I am in the Leeds network, Morley, Bruncliffe high school, stopglobalwarming. ect.
But you have to be carefull, because if you put your age, your photo, what school you went to, and before long you will have two identities.
I'm on it now, as I lost touch with quite a few of my friends when we went to uni (before mobiles, emails etc) nice to find out what their doing without intruding too much...
I'm on facebook and I am aware of the security issues of it. I recommend that if you don't want people from the network you're in looking at your profile (bear in mind that anyone can simply join the network by signing up to it usually (like Leeds network)), then put your privacy settings to the highest and only allow approved friends to access your profile.
I like facebook, it helps me keep in touch with all my friends from the different schools I went to when I was travelling. All of them are all over the place now as well are some members of my family
As those of you also on FB have probably noticed, I dont seem to find much time to get on there nowadays, tho I do when I can to keep in touch with peeps spread far and wide!
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance
