I recall going to school in the 60's (when they didn'y change the clocks for a trial one year) ..and it was pitch black.
Having now spent some time in France- I realise they do this all the time and maybe we are too aware of children's safety???
I'm sure the hot jacket potato in my pocket protected me from all evils????

Thanks for the reminder, I'd forgotten again. Would have meant being down the bus stop wondering where the bus was!

Precisely - and by the time you get home from work it's too dark to do anything in the garden or on the lottie. I hate winter.

Anyone know if we have to reprogramme the clock on Sky Plus? I'll be gutted if I miss Gardeners Question Time!

                  That's rough, Polly.
We didn't actually get a lay-in, cos the man next door had an impromptu Hallowe'en party until about 4am. I just managed to nod off when my alarm went off to put back the clocks. Ho hum.

We were at a party till late last night, so the extra hour was useful as Mr D was supposed to be working, so up at 7am after getting to bed at 2am, then 30 mins later his work rings up to tell him he's not needed today!!! I could have still been asleep, no fair!!!!

I've been remembering it all week!! Then last night went to Halloween party at my son's, came home a little bit tiddly and forgot (Did manage to take off the greasepaint, though). Still, the computer remembered for me and I changed the clocks around midday today. Good job I didn't have to go into work today.

I was just wondering..........are the Brits the only Time Lords on earth (apart from Doctor who of course) or do other countries mess about with Summertime?

Australia has daylight saving time, but then most of them are related to Brits anyway!
