  • HIGNFU is back, my life is complete!

The best thing on the tellybox...Have I Got News For You ... is back on, hurrah.
I really hope Boris Johnson guests, he's superb (but not in a good way)

Gee Whiz ! How can anybodies life revolve around what is on the telly Boris Johnston If not good why does anybody want to watch for what is bad Sorry, but the TV just doesn't do it for me.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

      Two-Sheds is right.

Becuase it and Bremmner Bird & Fortune are the only programmes to treat politicians with the respect they deserve. We need more satire to puncture the pomposity.

I like Have I Got News, and I don't mind Boris, but it's never been quite the same since they booted Angus...
The OH is out tonight tho, so I'm listening to Annie Mac on Radio 1, some Electric Proms coverage. (I know, @ 35 I should realy give in and switch to R2/R3/R4 but I CAN'T!!)

I can just about remember TW3 in the 60s David Frost, John Bird(doing Harold Wilson) & Millicent Martin singing.

I don't watch the TV much - too many things to do! However, I usually catch News for You when we get back from our traditional Friday Night Tea at My sister and Mum's house. By 10.00 p.m I'm headed bedwards though - Need my Ugly Sleep!

Gee whiz, none taken Alice !

My life does not revolve around the telly. The only progs I watch are gardening, and HIGNFY - I can tape them all on Sky Plus and watch when its too wet to garden.

BTW, is there any difference between being stuck in front of a telly and being stuck in front of a PC monitor? Really?

Hi Two Sheds, I like 'Have I Got News For You' too, the only problem is my O.H. can't stand it, he thinks it was funny 10 years ago but not now & he sulks while I watch it! I do think Boris Johnson is funny whether he intends it or not & know a lot of his blustering & bumbling must be put on but he's sort of addictive (O.H. can't stand Boris either so I'm onto a real loser if he's guest hosting as well!) I don't think there's anything wrong with watching T.V. as long as you're not glued to it 24-7 like some people & have other interests, there's a lot of rubbish on T.V. but there's a lot of interesting, educational & entertaining programming also.
