Halloween.....

We didn't get any callers at all last night. They must have us down as the 'miseries' of the street! O.H. is now going to get a sugar rush eating all the swizzels, lollies & sweeties , at least he will if he gets his hands on them before I hide them! Did notice a few houses having parties for children & think most of them just visited each others parties which seems like a good idea, nice & safe for all concerned.

A pleasant Halloween here. All the kids made an effort to dress up, as did some mums and dads too, kids all lovely and polite. I see it as a bit of harmless fun for the littluns and it was mostly done and dusted by 7pm. No teenagers knocked this year which made a change. Lauren went out with the neighbours and I stayed in to answer the door (I went out in the cold last year)
The lighted pumpkin in the window seems to have become an unwritten rule round here too and as system, works fairly well.
