Yep, thats the one Shirl! I'd forgotten the name but toffee penny it is - or was, its all slurped and gone now!!

Sorry Wellie, will wait til I've finished next time before speaking - but it might be a long wait, my teeth are going to take a while to recover!

Toffee annoys me intensely. I love the idea of it, but it makes my jaw ache?

I can't WAIT for Christmas (going to The Piglets again) as with me sitting in an armchair, watching the telly on Boxing Day, Piglet ALWAYS brings a tin of Cadbury Roses, or Quality Street over to me, pretends to trip, and tips the whole contents of the tin into my lap.
See Wellie dissolve into uncontrollable laughter! And the sad thing is, I KNOW he's going to do it as soon as he walks towards me, but I die laughing every time.....

Now look what you've started Wellie (not me of course haha!!) - the quality street dash is on. Now remember this is GENTLE thoughts folks, be kind to other contestants in the dash ....

I also like those long cigar shaped, more fudgy than toffee ones ... that didnt stick my teeth together as much or cause so much slobbering!!

They cause lots of slobbering if you put 3 in at once - sideways

Sorry, the dash sideways was for the phone there (Hazel at the Hill on the blower....wanting to know when exactly Trousers and my MOMliness will be arriving on her doorstep for a Christmas Hug!)

And so to today's Gentle Thought:

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

                    OK.
We've had a pretty devastating setback Trousers and me this evening, in our own particular world....
and this is how I feel:

A diamond is a lump of coal that stuck with it.
                    (Anonymous)

And anyone out there who is having a rotten time too at the minute.......
Just HOLD MY HAND, and we'll feel like a lump of coal together shall we?
                    Excellent!....
                    No. Me Neither......
                    Honestly. Just give it time........
They said 'that stuck with it'...........
                    You? No, me neither.......
Bu@@er it, let's move on shall we?!
and there's always another Gentle Thought to draw on tomorrow....

                    • Which is why I want to say this, if I may for Today:

When we face our fears and let ourselves know our connection to the power that is in us and beyond us, we learn courage.
                      (Anne Wilson Schaef)

and if I might be so bold to remind you?: Wellie says: A diamond is a lump of coal that stuck with it.....
and more than anything right now, that's making me smile...

                        • Wellie - whatever your setback I do hope it's mendable. Take good care, keep plodding along, tomorrow will be brighter. And you, my dear, ARE the diamond!
