Oh dear, never mind. My daughter turned up yesterday with a big net of sweet chestnuts and we are going to roast them in our old chestnut pan over the fire. Yum Yum.
To change the subject - but still on the magazine - I know I'm getting on a bit but I find their tendency to print text on green or brown backgrounds VERY difficult to read. In a few more years I simply shan't bother trying. And I don't even need glasses!
As I said in my original posting Flummery, I do need my eyes testing, but I agree with you the white on red, green or any other colour I find very difficult to read. White on a black background is the worst.
On page 46 the Over to You comments from this forum, the very pale grey print, I needed a magnifying glass, as well as my glasses, to read.
Maybe we would enjoy a thread devoted to a Pun of the Month competition? This Month's toe- curler nomination might be 'Kale force' although 'Oh my cloche' and 'tuber lessons' raised a half- hearted groan.
