  • Horrible Yobs!

I just need to sound off - feel free to ignore me!

Got a call from the lady who manages the Church Hall - there was a break in over the weekend of both the Church and the Church Hall. Anything locked was smashed open, including the Brownie Cupboard that I have literally just finished refitting!

The little monsters stole all the Poppy Money from the Church. Hanging is just too good for some people! Don't they know what the money is for? Are they so selfish that they just don't care who they hurt? Why are these kids allowed to roam the streets at night - I would have had my hide well tanned if I went out and just wandered aimlessly, causing trouble. Why don't their parents look after them?

Yeah, well I know the answer to the last one - too bleepin' lazy!

    Aaaaggggghhhhhh!!!!!!

Whinge over, thank you for you patience!

    Terry

    Hi TPerrs,

You have every right to scream about this, it is terrible! It is bad enough breaking in but 'a church' you would think they would have some morals.

Parents (not all) just don't seem to care about what there kids are up to. I was never aloud to wonder the streets and would never have thought of even being rude to someone never mind this.

With all the news about kids being attacked and so on you would think parents would want to know more about what there kids are up to, make sure they are safe etc

What is the world coming to!

It's not the damage I mind so much - daft as that may sound as it is going to cause me endless headaches to resecure the cupboard and be available to unlock when the church gets someone in to fix everything. Some damage to a lock seems to me a very minor thing.

It's just the deliberate timing to coincide with the poppy money - these little holigans apparently worked over a series of Churches on Saturday night, and always with the same aim.

      Disgusting.

Last year someone broke into school looking for our bonfire night money - which we'd luckily sent home with someone instead of leaving onsite.
Charity moneyboxes get stolen all the time... thieves don't have morals.

Well that's the thing isn't it. I never leave anything of real value in the cupboard. Just the bulky things like paper, craft gear, tents and camp gear. But if these yobs needed money to get their 'fix', why not take anything saleable?

None of the Church Plate was touched, I am delighted to say.

Some people just don't deserve to walk the earth.

Theft is bad enough, but theft from a church? Beggars belief.

One saving grace is that nobody was there, and subsequently nobody got hurt I guess.

Only work if there are no exceptions. National service as a part of getting the right to be a national. The less able or differently able depending on how PC you are feeling, could probably use their skills in logistics or some of the other desk bound posts in the forces.

Sorry to hear that Tpeers. It seems to happened everywhere. The priest and nun ( here) has been set as target for quite sometimes now and even if they are cough, they get away easily due to been under age .
I guess being under age give them the privilege of getting away of any responsibility...
But again, glad to hear no body is hurt...

Police aren't interested in catching the little pests. Too much like hard work. Or rather more to the point nothing traceable was taken so there is little hope of a prosecution. So even if they could find the people involved there is actually little point - a slap on the wrist and a written warning is the most that can be hoped for.

Some of my blackberry brambles would do a better job!

The same thing happened in Nottinghamshire last week some low life was going round taking the poppy boxes off the counters of shops.
They were caught on camera so I hope someone turns them in.
