            Dad goes into hospital on Friday, for a nasty op which may, or may not, give him more time. The only thing I want for Christmas is that - more time. At 35 I don't really feel old enough to face life without either parent.

            I've done all shopping for the kids presents already, as with visiting etc, I won't have the time or mental strength to face the shops in December.

            Oh, and we did the whole growing up without Christmas, coz we went to a slightly whacky church which didn't celebrate it (don't ask...!), and I wouldn't wish that kind of thing on anybody - the bullying I had to take because of that...

              Hi Sarzwix,

              Good luck to your Dad on Friday, they probably would not do the opp if they thought it would not help.

              Be thinking of you all and you know where we are if you need us, Mandy

                Good wishes for your Dad Sarzwix. I hope his remaining time can be extended and that he will be comfortable too. I still miss mine.

                    Thanks guys. Life truly is a bitch sometimes.
                    To put the icing on the cake, my washer has just seeped a lake of soapy water all over the floor, so I'm amending my list;
                    I would like a launderette sized washer & dryer, please Santa!

                    Off to wield the mop & bucket...

                      Think positive, your washer has just become a dual tasking machine, it washes your clothes and cleans your floor...............

                      Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

                      Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                          Sending lots of good wishes through the vine to you and your dad Sarzwix. I've been there too, my thoughts and best wishes for his op.
                          Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance
