Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I'm still suffering the CHAOS syndrome (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome), but taking my babysteps to make a difference.....and trying not to get too caught up in the American love of jargon and going over the top!! (lol!!)
Edited to add - flylady was not the inspiration for my name - that came from a hockey goalkeeping forum where I tried to link my position to the club name (a greek/roman god (always get my greeks and romans mixed up) with winged sandals, and I, with a typical goalie ego, felt I had winged feet). When I joined another forum, I was travelling abroad a lot at the time, so the wings were still appropriate. And now I'd forget my username and password if they weren't the same for every forum I'm on (not that many, but enough to get mixed up on).Last edited by Winged one; 13-11-2007, 04:33 PM.

Just had a look, not really my sort of thing, bit too American and the thought of a timer is a hideous idea to me, but at least I know what you're on about now and if it works for you then, fair play!

Arrr in my house it works like this I get (and have got already) a cherry tree. So I am sorted.
Then the lists to santa come to me and I have to buy all the stuff.

I would like time and peace and a few uninteruppted hours on my lottie. I love my children more than life itself but being a lone parent to four is hard work, especially when in one case you're parenting autism into the bargain.
Failing that, an enormous bottle of gin

"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

I think I might have already had my Christmas wish. Madmax got given notice in his Portugal job and will be home early December (actually there is a chance he will fly home with me at the end of my holiday there). However, and maybe even better, he is almost sure of a more local job - only 100 miles away. That means he will be home every weekendWho will be a very happy person if it works out? Yup, ME!!
Otherwise, Christmas is for family time together, kids just want money so that is easier to shop for! Will start looking for daft prezzies for family members soon. Just realised today that I will be on holiday and miss Thanksgiving which we have sort of adopted since living in the States - darn, I like a roast turkey too. Oh, and I just adore cooking Christmas dinnerLast edited by shirlthegirl43; 13-11-2007, 06:08 PM.Happy Gardening,

My Christmas list so far (which the kids don't want to buy for me as they think they're not "proper" presents like smellies and jewellery)
1. Another bale of multipurpose compost (I use loads of it)
2. Stable manure delivered to the lottie (preferably well rotted)
3. A new shed for the lottie (delivered, assembled and the old one taken away)
4. The weather to be good on my days off so I can actually get to the lottie
5. Failing those, a bottle of Drambuie (that will see me through Xmas and New Year)

Yes, seen it Mr D, lol!!
Hmm, for me? Lots of lovely time off to rest and to get the plot dug over and paths finished for the spring! Other than that, I've got everything I want, and his name is Mr D!
Oh and perhaps some books, some perfume and some clothes, can't really think of much else, YET!!Blessings

I share the same birthday with my sister - November 27th. As children we weren't allowed to talk about Christmas, or make plans for it, before our birthday. Maybe I'm totally brainwashed but I still never do anything about Christmas before my birthday. Well Christmas is in December - isn't it ?
From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
