Well, I'm late as usual - but a huuugggee welcome Piskie, glad to have you along. Sounds like you have plenty of experience already - I'm only in my first year, but as Dobby says, this growing lark is sooooo addictive I can't stop now! So do you know how long you're likely to be in your current garden?
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance
Dunno when the party is but make sure its stocked up with gin!! And there'll be lots of home made wine, lemoncello, you name it from fellow grapes!!
four years isnt too bad - I had nasty thoughts of you upping sticks (and pots) every year, I'm not sure I could cope with that after all the hard work.
Try and post some photos when you get into the swing of things, I love a good nosey - and I know I'm not the only one ... hmm, hmm .....

Having only been at this allotmenteering lark since February of this year, and not having grown anything prior to that, I'd feel a little fraudulent calling myself a gardener. I'd feel even more fraidulent calling myself a serious anything!
Roker is just next door to Fulwell, he might have gone to my school? Monkwearmouth Comp.
He almost certainly lived near to the football ground, lucky boy!
I took my OH up there a couple of times, he couldn't understand a word anybody said..!
It's a small world, innit?!
Hi Piskie & welcome. You sound like you've got it all sorted, hope your accomodation is better than some for the forces they show on T.V. It must be annoying to just get your garden going & then have to move. Raised beds are a great idea though, I only have a small garden & grow in pots & a raised veg. bed, it's surprising what you can manage in them.
