How great is that. We are on our fourth generation with the oldest being twenty. Whether he reproduces before my mothers dies is another question but it would be a lovely thing.
My sympathies with the new mother, know what its like as i had a really bad time myself. Your mother must be a good age if she is still living through the fifth generation. My own mother will be 90 in April/

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

My son's wife is two years older than I am (and ten years older than my wife), and a grandmother, and my son-in-law is four years younger than I am - so what does that make me?

Piskie, if your mother is only 73 you may yet see a sixth generation. Would'nt that be a record. I suppose thats what happens when a couple of generations marry young. I think its great. My grandsons are 20, 19, and 17 and they all still have two of their great grandmothers with the other two only dying in the last two years.
