Glad your dad is on the mend Wayne - now you have to keep him on the straight and narrow, which I'm sure you're more than capable of ... ! (Practice for his grandkids?!)
And hereditary conditions aren't the problem these days of medical advances that they might have been even just 10 years ago.Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance

Glad to hear your Dad is doing well HW! Paddy, our i/c allotments here in Penwortham, Preston had a heart attack last year (before I met him) but by george! I never knew when I met him - and he's as fit as a fiddle and cuts all the grass on the lottie site and helps everyone who meets him -a fine example of a chap who has recovered - just as I know your Dad will. Please pass on our love to him. DexterdogBernie aka DDL

I know what you mean HW... both my grandmothers passed away relatively young by today's standards but I like to think we can buck the trend with our home grown produce and healthier lifestyle!
ClaireI was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Didn't get the chance to go and see him this weekend (at the outlaws in Sheffield on Saturday, then we had people over yesterday evening - most of the day was spent getting ready for that), so we'll probably pop in one night this week. I was on the plot yesterday morning and was thinking about looking forward to him being able to come down with me in the new year and help out. He really enjoys being outside, so hopefully the plot will be a good motivator for him to get well (but no sooner than recommended!).A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/
