  • boredom .... roll on spring!

it's cold, it's wet, nothing much happening down the garden .......
i've still got carrots, beets, caulis, sprouts, swede growing, but they're not doing much, don't need the daily looking after etc - weekly is more than enough
and yeah i could prune the fruit trees ....... and i could dig over the ground ready for next year ....... and i could clear out and clean the greenhouse ...

but with so little happening down there i just can't be bothered right now ...

but i'm really looking forward to next spring ....
why can't it be spring and summer all year round??????

I know what you mean. I keep going into the garden and just walk around it to try and get up the enthusiasm to do something but it is so cold and wet at the moment.

Nothing needs urgently doing so, I think I'll stay here in the warm.

Good job that it isn't spring and summer all year round though. I, for one would be knackered

We need indoor, dry type hobbies to keep us going through the winter! I have a pile of books waiting to be read, a pile of cross stitching waiting to be started, and a pile of new recipes to experiment with ... tomorrow ..!!!
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance

I have loads of sewing to catch up on, mending and repairs, but can I get started?
I'd much rather be on the lottie, I'm liked a caged animal in the wintertime

I want to get out into fresh air and dig and harvest (can't do any of that at the mo).

I want to get into the kitchen and cook up a storm (can't do that either).

I have a load of sewing projects, some started and others just in the planning phase. I have 2 nieces/nephews on the way that I should start some knitting for (cos those projects ALWAYS take me too long).

I have an attic to clear out and declutter.

And I either can't or am not in the mood for (or both) any of them...I just want another hot mug of tea and a warm duvet in peace and quiet.

Coming down in stair rods down here this morning so our day at the pig farm organising the kiwi plants was a wash out. Last week I started tidying our my chalet/shed because OH said that she couldn't actually get inside it because of the cl***er - must be a woman thing, I could (if I picked my way carefully over the debris).

So today was a start on the garage, fin ding stuff we hadn't unpacked almost three years after arriving here and moving all my tools and really important things that might come in useful sometime (she called it cl****r again) - into the shed!!!!!

So now she's complaining that she can't get into the shed and that it needs tidying!

Now, I've got a stone built cave/cabin for the wine cellar, may be able to wedge a few bits and bobs in there.

If it was Spring / Summer all year around then we wouldn't appreciate them when they come round after a long or cold winter. Personally I love the seasons as they each give me something different.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
