We three had pillow slips.... nuts, satsumas, seclection pack, annual (Tin Tin for me!)
and Floral gums! maybe they were to keep us quiet, while Mum and Dad slept- always up way before dawn, and were told not to open gifts before day light.....hmmmm, did not always work. can remember Sis and I looking at the window (dark) counting to 100 with eyes shut tight, then opening them and looking at window to see if it was any lighter, it never was!

Was up at 4am Xmas past, not due to Lauren though. Was due to our neighbour and his girlfriend at the time. All I will say is thin walls!
                Got dinner organised early though.

Try suggesting to my OH's 12 and 15 yr olds that they will get satsumas for christmas ...
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance

A couple of years ago my best mate Lorraine sent me a Christmas pressie that I had to open on Christmas eve..... she had hand made me a Christmas stocking! How wonderful! I now use it every year - I'm very happy with my life at the moment, and am not bothered what Santa puts in my stocking this Christmas! Dexterdog

When I was younger we my parents didn't have a lot of money so a lot of the pressies were hand made - farms, forts, jumpers etc. But my father always saved a banger from bonfire night and let it off Christmas eve and then tell us Santa had just shot himself so there would be no Pressies

...... you didn't really think I was going to be serious did you

A bit like the Mother who told her children that whenever the ice cream man played his tune, it meant that he had run out of ice cream

Sorry to go off thread btw
