I drive a Ford Fiasco! And it is! I dont mind -all I want is A to B and back again.

My "daily" car is my faithful, X reg Vauxhall Astra Estate - and yes, it's usually a shed inside! The back bit is SO useful for Dexter, and also all the stuff to and from the lottie! Any offers to give it a clean? LOL! My "Sunday" car (well, it would be if he was on the road!) is Henry my 1964 MG Midget. Bless! Bernie

Then again, I think some are Albanian, some Latvian, Kosovan.

I take mine to a crew of Eastern Europeans who have replaced the machinery in a local car wash. They do a great job, only costs me �10 and they're done in 10-15 minutes, meaning I have plenty of time for other things...

They do a cracking job (and I'm fastidious about car cleaning) inside and out.

Tax? not too many locals in Crete tax these things they are all over the island but only used very locally they are generally repaired? by the owner or the village blacksmith. But I enjoy seeing them going flat out at 20mph with all manner of loads.

In Atlanta when we lived there we would often see old 80's Buicks (like a Cutlass Classic) without the front wings or bonnet being driven about. The headlining would be hanging down and torn, doors dented et al. One thing was guaranteed - these wrecks would have big 27" chrome rims with spinners on and a sound system that could be heard in New York. And they were always driven by black folks! No MOT either! Great!

Triumph Dolomite I always liked, a neat hot saloon, well the Sprint anyway.
The SD1, a local guy had a stripped back one in racing trim, neat, sounded awesome.

We had a weeks holiday on Skerries (a very remote island here in Shetland) many years ago. It has about 1 mile of road, but everyone had a car of dubious quality.

We flew in by the local little aeroplane and the boys (then aged 3 and 4) wanted a photograph of the plane landing at the little airstrip. One morning when eating breakfast we heard this horrendous noise and all dashed out the caravan, grabbing wellie boots and legged it to the airport to get our photo. Much disappointment when a old Ford Cortina went past with no exhaust or doors!

Funny that Jennie! Many moons ago I went to the Isle of Skye for a holiday. This was before it had a bridge. I had a beaten up old Commer Caravette without any tax and was really worried about getting caught. On the Isle at the time was such a disarray of broken down old bangers, my beaten up old caravette looked quite posh in comparison! From what I recall, none of them were taxed either!

Nah Peter - In Lisbon so I missed it and shirls didnt record it for me! Always liked Dollies... As for the SD1, I have 3" s/s flowed headers and system on mine... So the sound is truly awesome! On the way Back from Augsburg last year part of the motorway in Germany is a part of the Nurburgring. Shirls let rip.... 0-60 in just over 7.5 and I've had it to 155mph... NEVER AGAIN!

Do you remember "The Motor 100"?

100th birthday of the car, I took some mates to the celebrations at Silverstone, the track pace car was an SD1 Vitesse and the fire engine was an XJ saloon with an immersion heater tank sized multihose fire extinguisher instead of a rear seat.

Classiest car seen, a Jag MkII fully restored in gunmetal gray.

Most stylish, a '30s racing car, BRM?

Loudest thing there, British Leyland TRW(?) racing hardtop XJS.

My Maestro, there I've said it, didn't get stuck in the carpark field either.

Well i drive a tank AKA a volvo 960 turbo estate, not much you cant et in there and that includes 5 very big dogs !!
My fav car was an HA viva called Eme ! used to leave most cars standing at trafic lights with their drives mouths left open LOL.
