I've never been able to build-up much enthusiasm for cars. We've always had an estate of some description, this is necessary due to allotment, camping trips, dogs, etc. It's current incarnation is that of a Ford Focus. It does the jobs we want, has so far been reliable, and is a truly awful colour. Can't really think of much else to say, except that we're running it on bio-diesel even though the manual says not to and it seems fine.

You can get paint mixed at Halfords for £11 per 300ml if GM/Vauxhall no longer make the paint. Ask Mrs Dobby. Or my son - he works at halfords! All you need is the paint code from the car.

Hi, I've a Saab for sale!!!
I've got a Renault Grande Scenic, it's my daughter's mobility car and I love it. I keep the back seats down for dog and plants etc.. My girls have plenty of room in the middle and it's very zippy around town. Before that I had a W plate Scenic. My Hubby has a new company car coming with new job. Currently in a hire car. His Saab 93 is currently on Ebay if anyone interested??? S plate, 2.2 diesel, brand new MOT and new tires this week, tax until Feb. In Gloucester, auction ends Friday. Lovely car, an emotional good bye due to new job/car.

                      Beth

After 2 years of driving bangers when my husband died, I have now bought myself a Yaris, which I love .

It's downside is that I am reluctant to cart garden stuff around in it which didn't worry me with the old bangers. With a garden and a lottie I don't have two lots of gardening equipment.

It would help if I could work out how to put the back seats down then I could possibly line it.

At the moment I drive a HUGE old Volvo 740. Long and red and known as the 'Tarts Fingernail' when it is all polished and shiny, which is not very often. Very practical car and saves the need for a trailer. BUT I would much rather be driving my Teal Blue MGBGT 1972 which is my 'I'm not a Grannie' car.

One day may be if it survives being abandoned in the UK.

Have had many over the years - first one was a convertible Triumph herald which I just loved! Now I'm in a Fiat Grande Punto, because OH is their training manager and gets two company cars! Other car is a motorhome .... not quite a VW but I'm with you there HeyWayne!! I reckon it will be used more than the Fiat for trips to the lottie when I eventually get the keys, much more space for stuff!
