LOL - I have been racking my brain to remember what lavender flowers look like!!! I guess it depends what type of lavender you have. My lavender plants are about 2 inches high - grown from seed this year and hoping for a little lavender hedge next year.

Rose petals I guess. Oops, scrolled up to see you don't like sickly rose petals, but not all are sickly. Do you grow any scented flowers that you do like? I guess any could be dried to use in bags.

What about rosemary - how would you dry that for a smellysorry perfumedbag? Just in the microwave? I;ve got loads of rosemary and like you Nicos not particularly fussed about lavender.

Hi Terrier!

Go out for a walk in any pine woodlands, and look at the tree bark, you'll find some lumps of greyish greeny yellow knobbly stuff wherever the tree has suffered damage. All you need to do is carefully remove the excess (a pocket knife comes in handy, but watch out as it can be very sticky), leaving enough that you dont expose the damage to the bark and then take it home.

Thanks MrsD, We'll be rambling through the forest this Sunday with the terrierists so I'll keep a look out for some leaky pines! Therre should be damage a-plenty with all this windy weather.

Not me. Don't eat lamb but do cook it (rarely) for Madmax. Will be cooking it more frequently now as I bought a half lamb that was born and bred on the smallholding where I grew up. Madmax should be delighted.
