  • Once Upon A Time......

.....there was a little girl called 'Wellie'...... (See Wellie splash around in her new Wellington Boots in the biggest Puggle she could find).

No.....It wasn't her REAL name, but, because she was always wearing Wellington Boots on her feet, all her friends called her 'Wellie' - and most of her grown-up friends didn't even know her real name!

Wellie lived in a dinky little stone cottage on the edge of the forest, with her very special black cat. Wellie called her cat 'BC' , and her very special boyfriend, she called him 'Trousers'.... (Silly Wellie!)

One day, Wellie got talking to the very very old man over the fence and he told her how very lovely it was to grow stuff in your garden, and you could EAT IT!! (Vegetables are those green, purple and orange things that some children hate putting in their mouth?!)

Well, what did Wellie do? She put those tiny little seeds into the soil and you will NEVER guess what happened next.....

and that's where your little Angels can get an extra prezzie for Christmas?

I have a lovely JACK IN THE BEANSTALK Game that I'd just love to send to one of you this Christmas for one or all of your very own little darlings (4+ years it says on the box, but any age to enter) and all I ask, is a drawing or a story about that little girl Wellie, who lived in the Forest....

and whichever thumbnail picture or story wins my heart I'll post the game to you .
Children and their parents are welcome to take part here, and I'm hoping that we're not going to have too much 'adult' participation?!?!

Lovely idea Wellie! Sadly the Junior Flums are FAR to old for a go - at 32 and 35 years old. The Grand-Flumette at a mere 3 years is too young - but someone will deserve and win it. More power to their beanstalk. And thanks for being a generous grape.

Ah no...! The GAME says 4+ years on the box. I don't mind what age the kiddy winkies are that take part in drawing or writing the end of the story.... The more the merrier!

And I'll make sure I find out when the last posting date is so that the winner can actually get the game (hopefully) for Christmas Day to open (but hey, please don't shoot me if it goes wrong?!)

OK, the game is wrapped in christmas paper, with a little gift tag on..... and then wrapped in brown packing paper all ready to address and post, so get writing and drawing little darlings!

I'll take it to the Post Office tomorrow, get it accurately weighed and measured, (so there'll be no need to get on your tricycle and go down to the Sorting Office with your piggybank to pay any excess postage and handling fines...!) and I'll post up on this thread again tomorrow with a Closing Date for Entries, according to when the parcel needs to be posted to reach you by Christmas for opening Christmas morning....

Well so far it appears no one wants the game, which is a great shame, because it now has stamps on, waiting to be addressed, and has to be posted latest this coming Monday morning. Still, the thought was there I suppose.....

Well, I thought it was a really lovely gesture Wellie and I can't believe you have no entrants. I was looking forward to reading them as well !! I'm not entering because my OH's two are 12 and 15 - farrrrr tooooo oooooold - so thought I'd give those more suited a chance.

Good on you for the offer whatever!
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance
