Sleeting, cold and windy here today!

Lit stove in one greenhouse, took down tomato plant haulms in tuther and repaired broken window panes. Then...........retired to (by this time) warm and cosy geenhouse for a cuppa!

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

retire to a lovely, warm and steamy bathroom with a hot, steamy bubble bath with a very large glass of what you fancy! It works for me! Bernie

Have you drawn up your lists/planting plans for next year? Or scrubbed all your pots/trays/tools in mild disinfectant? Set up your sowing/potting area?
No, I haven't done those things yet either..
                        Straight after Christmas though!

I'm loathing this soggy grey weather too; just walking the dog means I'm coming in soaked through to the skin and cold, and I have the proper 'gear'. My boots are letting in water through a cracked sole - bad time of year for new boots with 3 kids!
Very easy to slip into a mild depression... My friend and I just keep forcing each other to grin (the old psychology that smiling leads to happy brain chemicals being released) by shouting "PASTE IT ON!!" at innapropriate moments... Works for us!

Gardening in rain, wind and mud is always possible. And it becomes enjoyable after two quadruple gins.
