I would love Hatton to give him a good hiding, but wouldn't wanna commit myself either way - I think this has the potential to be one of the best fights for years - hope it lives up to my expectations

We dont have the option on the box, but there is something of a boxing match going on ITV at the mo. Dont know whos in it, think there is a local guy from Bolton, not even sure who is who. Sad, really, Yep, me having one eye on it and not taking notice. Hope the local boys from both camps win! That'd be Amir Khan! He's a good lad, easy win for him again.

Commiserations to Ricky Hatton, really hoped he'd win

i think most non-americans wanted him to teach the arrogant yank a lesson, but then he will be beaten one day, people used to think the same of tyson and look what happened to him!

Amir Khan is a lovely lad, he just needs someone who'll give him a good fight. I've always been in two minds about boxing, it's brutal & cruel & feels like watching the gladiators with the Romans but I'm drawn to the athleticism & power.Ricky Hatton is also a lovely bloke & fellow Man City fan (although he does hang around with the enemy too much- Wayne Rooney- also from a boxing family).I'm sure he tried his best & Floyd Mayweather was very complimentary about him afterwards.

Um. who are these people? Do they dig gardens? I hate boxing. Having said that, I'm enormously proud of my grandson who won the UK silver medal in the Junior championship last year.

Amir Khan looks very impressive whenever he fights. Unfortunately, all the quick K.O's aren't giving him a chance to get the experience he needs to fight longer, better matched bouts.

I really hope his talent doesn't go to waste, or he'll end up like that other no-hoper, Audley Harrison.

Or better still when the commentator asked him, just after the fight finished if he was ok for an interview? To which he replied " Oh yes, better than I was a few minutes ago lying on me back"

Sadly we decided not to fork out the pay-per-view fee, and went to bed, saw the result in the morning.

                              Glad he's ok.
